The 2.17.13 Playlist and Our Trip to MIDEM!

If you remember, we (Type A and Victoria) were on an airplane... and found ourselves in France attending the MIDEM festival. BIG THANKS go out to the folks at the International Radio Festival who are working hard to keep radio awesome and relevant. We had a tremendous and educational time. Oh, and ate a lot too :). Check out some pictures below of our travels in Cannes, France...

The sandcastle we saw in Cannes expresses our gratitude...

Oh hey, Mark Hoppus... (of Blink 182)

Midem...

more Midem and an awesome car from MINI, one of IRF's partners.

That's Darryl von Daniken of the IRF with Type A below.
He's responsible for all of our fun.

We saw a huge technicolor dog...and the beautiful city of Cannes.

We also got to watch a couple bands. Check out Endah n Rhesa, an eclectic, technically talented and totally lovable husband and wife duo from Indonesia whose cuteness surprisingly doesn't want to make you vomit.

Next up was Balthazar, a driving indie rock band.

While we were there, we decided we would actually do some work, too. Here are Victoria's news stories that we compiled at Midem on the importance of artist rights and radio.

OKAY, so here's the playlist from tonight. Definitely check out The Kingston Springs on your way out. Singer's got a bit of Jack White in his voice, and lord knows that's not a problem.
