Here's a video from Red Collar's show at Piano's a few weeks ago:
It was a great show.

Coldplay's new video - Strawberry Swing
The content of the song never made me think of Chris Martin as a goofy, sidewalk chalk superhero. Nevertheless, here's Coldplay's "Strawberry Swing":
CLICKY CLICKY
I really don't think it meshes well. It's as if they got a pitch for the visuals and liked it so much that they just found the next single and shoehorned it on.

New Killers Video - "A Dustland Fairytale"
The Killers have released a new video for their song "A Dustland Fairytale".
This video made possible by "No Country for Old Men".
EDIT: The original embed was removed, this one isn't properly synced with audio near the end and it's not available anywhere else. Bummer. When I find a working link I'll get it on here!

Band of Skulls - I Know What I Am
I Know What I Am
After much scanning, I've only been able to find one instance of the official video for Band of Skulls' "I Know What I Am". Sorry it's the Myspace player, I personally don't like their embeds very much.
Enjoy! There might be a big BoS announcement for Campus Buzz listeners soon... stay tuned. Tell your friends. Listen in. (remember, extra hour all summer... 7-10 pm!)

Videos galore!
Videofest!
First off... hot off the net, Yeah Yeah Yeahs' "Heads Will Roll" premiered online HERE!
Next, watch Trent Reznor (always the cranky one on Twitter it seems) cover the shit out of "Kick Out the Jams" with Boots Riley:
Next, check this... Iron & Wine (we're playing it this week on CB! New stuff!) performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon:
Speaking of late night TV, here's an odd combination: David Letterman + Mastodon. I think Letterman just looked skeptical the whole time. Darn whippersnappers and their music, right?
Lastly, Modest Mouse. Enjoy:

The Street's "He's Behind You, He's Got Swine Flu"
Mike Skinner went above and beyond with this week's new Streets track by making a video for it and everything. It's timely, and it's got vaguely Cantina-esque horns in the background!

ANOTHER "Viva La Vida" plagiarism scandal?
Apparently, Cat Stevens has decided to take a bite out of Coldplay.
The Creaky Boards controversy hit last year, where the Brooklyn band claimed Coldplay's "Viva La Vida" was too close for comfort to their aptly-named tune entitled "The Songs I Didn't Write".
Now, Cat Stevens claims that his song "If I Could Fly" was ripped off by Chris Martin and crew for VLV. Listen in below, tuning in at about 5:14:
This isn't the first time Cat has cried foul. He did it to the Flaming Lips for "Fight Test".
More news as we hear more.

Breaking to Regular Format: In Flames
In Flames is a songwriting machine.
They've just posted another track entitled "Delight and Angers" on their myspace.
I like it. It's slightly poppy. But man, Georgeroskos.com and I both remarked today that they just churn out the tunes. Constant promotion keeps them in the front of everyone's minds, I guess. Plus, if they keep producing good music, more power to them.

Whatever Happened To Eminem?
Whatever happened to Eminem?
He's still around. He's just dropped a new video, which is coming out on his new album, Relapse.
He seems to still be having fun poking at pop culture, but you know what? I'd like to hear some truly heavy stuff again. "Mosh" comes to mind. Even if its politics grew tiring and its purpose of not re-electing Bush failed in '04, it still had substance. Stuff like this song below, which falls more in the lines of "Just Lose It", just doesn't hold my interest.
Disagree? Agree? Comment either way. Is Eminem past his prime, or is he still relevant?

"Zero" or Zero? (and is there a crosspromo opp for Coke Zero?)
So, sitting in the WSOU studios on Sunday night there was a Yeah Yeah Yeahs debate. Three of us (Raggedy Annie, Mark and I) had differing opinion on the YYYs. I dig the new song, but I feel as if they've been unable to really get anywhere as an act, since there's an overwhelming demand for "Maps" and not much else.
I came away from the debate still feeling as if they were stuck in a rut, but after an initial listen through the new album, I think there's chance for them to break through to a new level of notoriety.
I'm going to try to get an album review up soon, so hang tight and keep checking the blog.
To hold you over, check out the video for "Zero". I'm digging:

Titus Andronicus: Absolute Zero
On good word from some friends, the Titus Andronicuz/Los Campesinos two-night stint at the Bowery Ballroom was great. They've been touring the midwest recently as well (Chicago, Grand Rapids and elsewhere).

NIN Concerts in HD. For free.
A little bit of a Nine Inch Nails sidenote:
The band is offering not one, not two, but THREE of their concerts from their most recent tour in HD online for free.
Georgeroskos.com, Stank, and Eaglerock all made it to their Atlantic City show a few months back, and were really impressed. NIN usually puts on great live shows.
Remember... HD, unedited full length concerts... they're torrents and are huge. Happy downloading.
December 5 in Victoria
December 7 in Portland
December 12 in Sacramento
